About us.
Hey there! Thanks for coming by.
The fruit of a shared passion for the game.
The person writing this is Mattia (crazy, in an AI world, to have someone write stuff), but it's true! I'm a real human. This website is the fruit of my passion—and the team's—for the game.
We're a group of five people who all understand that someday Valve will come out with a flashy, cool-looking website for the game. Until that happens, we wanted to take inspiration from all the beautiful things the developers of Deadlock have offered us: fonts, colors, heroes, designs, and so much more.
A small community piece.
This website will try to keep people connected to each other when it comes to patches, tier lists, ideas, lore, and so much more. If you haven't taken a look around, please do! We've spent a lot of time making things look the way they do.
So many people have helped us with models, 3D renders, designs, and the site overall. Together, they built what I believe to be the coolest Deadlock website (bias: 99.5%).
If you like the project, join us.
Come find us on Discord (opens in a new tab) and meet the other people who are in love with the game.
Art, the game, and room to disagree.
We care about art and the game itself—not who you are, what rank you are, what you do for a living, or how much your outfit costs.
Will people still bash you for being “lower rank than them” when you express an opinion? Yeah, that's inevitable (I'll do that too, to keep the server democratic). But I made sure the website allows for freedom of opinion, because the game is different based on how much time people put into it.
You'd be surprised by how many of the common rules of the game break when you go down in ranks—and how they change again when you go up.
A couple more statements.
We design everything by HAND
Exhibit A: a hand of mine..
You won't see any AI art on this website. Image compression that lets pages load for people with worse internet can be AI; if you consider that art, then I just lied.
We currently self-finance the project.
We won't say no to advertising—unless we find another smart way to keep the website running without it.
